The Council of Clubs (COC) has decided that the Junior Rugby Committee(JRC) trialed in 2009 will remain in place for 2010 with a further review at the end of the season.  The JRC comprises of 5 members from the North Harbour rugby community and a sixth member from the Union staff.   The Junior Rugby Committee is responsible to the COC for facilitating the effective delivery of junior club rugby in North Harbour.  2009 JRC member Warren Groarke has opted to stand down and consequently an election for a replacement member will be held.

The timeline to elect a new JRC member for 2010 is as follows:

8 March – Advertise vacant JRC position on North Harbour Website and by emailed circular to Clubs.

31 March – Applications close. Union distributes list of applicants and details to clubs.

16 April – Clubs advise their preferred applicant

4 May – COC ratify new JRC member

Applications are invited from individuals from North Harbour clubs and the rugby community to be considered as a member of the JRC from 8 March with applications closing 5pm Wednesday 31 March 2010.  Click here for further information including a job description and application form
