North Harbour Rugby Announces New Principal Partner Go Media

North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU) is excited to have Go Media front and centre for its Bunnings NPC and Farah Palmer Cup campaigns, signing the company as their principal partner for 2023.

Go Media is a Kiwi based and run outdoor media solutions company with an extensive network of Out Of Home assets throughout Aotearoa. Through being a passionate supporter of the communities they operate in, Go Media already has a wide range of sports and arts organisations in their sponsorship portfolio. NHRU is no exception, with the two starting their work together in 2022 through a smaller-scale partnership.

In recent months, Go Media has been assisting the Union in its search for a new principal partner through an Auckland-wide digital billboard campaign. Now, they’re snapping up the opportunity themselves to help the Union secure essential funding, just days from the start of the Farah Palmer Cup competition.

“We are delighted to have had such a strong and innovative New Zealand company step forward and take our Principal Partnership,” comments NHRU CEO, Adrian Donald (AD). AD goes on to say, “The support Go Media will provide to our Union and ultimately our community is instrumental in allowing us to pursue our purpose of ‘improving lives through rugby.’”

"Go Media is passionate about rugby and supporting sport and the local communities where we operate. As we are adding more digital screens into the North Shore, and around North Harbour stadium, we saw an immediate alignment when the opportunity was presented to us after we started a relationship last season,” said Go Media director and co-owner Mike Gray. “We are very excited to be involved for the 2023 season and proud to be across both teams, as part of our kaupapa is to raise the profile of women's sport across all codes. Let's Go Harbour!"

Fans with a keen eye may have already spotted the ‘green means go’ shield on the front of the North Harbour Hibiscus jersey in their first two games of the season. The North Harbour Heat will wear the Go Media shield and begin their Bunnings NPC campaign this weekend in Napier, taking on the Hawke’s Bay Magpies. Round three of the Farah Palmer Cup sees the Hibiscus come up against the Manawatū Cyclones at Silverdale War Memorial Park.
