North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU) is excited to announce the return of Jack Heighton, to the Union.

Heighton, who has a deep connection to the community, makes his return as the Rugby Manager (Junior Rugby).

Having retired as a player at the end of 2023, Heighton previously played 11 matches for NHRU from 2019 to 2023. During his playing career, Heighton also represented Rugby United New York.

Coming through the system of NHRU’s pathways, Heighton will be able to use his experience to nurture the next generation’s development. Having been inspired by his enjoyment of the game, Heighton will be able to use his strong rugby IQ to give back to the community.

Commenting on his new role, Heighton says “I’m very excited to be back at the union that has given me so many memories and opportunities. I’m looking forward to creating those same experiences for our juniors and working alongside our region’s schools and clubs, to get the next generation hooked on the game”.
