Ahead of the upcoming Community Rugby season, North Harbour Rugby (NHRU) are proud to announce a Partnership with Dr. John Mayhew's newly-opened Sports Injury Clinic, which is based out of TBI Health in Rosedale.

This newly opened clinic has been specifically designed for athletes to ease their access to triage. The clinic operates two days per week, from 7:30am - 11:30am on Mondays, as well as 2:00pm - 6:00pm on Thursdays.

Medical certificates, head injury assessments and blood tests are among the services offered. The walk-in triage service is from 7:30am – 9:00am on Mondays, while the remaining time slots require online bookings.

Charges include:

ACC

·       Initial consultation: $70 per session.

·       Follow-up appointments: $50 per session.

Private

·       Initial $100 per session.

·       Follow up $80 per session.

Additional Charges

·       Additional charges for specialised treatments or equipment.

·        Cortisone injections $150. (Plus surcharge for the consultation).

Dr. John Mayhew

Dr. Mayhew is a Life Member at both NHRU and Northcote Rugby Club, having given more than 30 years' service to an array of elite sporting sides, from the Warriors, to the All Blacks and NHRU. Dr. Mayhew was awarded in the 2016 New Zealand Order of Merit, for his services to sports medicine. Dr. Mayhew's three sons, Richard, Mike and Nic, all represented NHRU in the Bunnings Warehouse NPC during their playing careers.
