North Harbour Rugby Re-Sign with Major Partners Kennards Hire
As Community Rugby prepares to get underway for 2025, the North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU) are honoured to announce the re-signing of Kennards Hire as a Major Partner until the end of 2026.
Founded in 1948 by the Kennard family in Australia, Kennards Hire entered the New Zealand market in 2012. Having been a Major Partner of NHRU since 2018, Kennards Hire will continue to be front and centre of our Community Rugby landscape.
Reflecting on this re-signing, Adrian Donald, Chief Executive of NHRU, says: “As we begin our 40th Anniversary of Improving Lives Through Rugby, we’re incredibly grateful to continue our alignment with a brand who shares our value in growing a strong community. The shared values between NHRU and Kennards Hire, played a major factor in our decision to re-sign with them”.
Having been a major partner of NHRU since 2018, and naming rights sponsor of its junior and senior club rugby since 2022, Tom Kimber, General Manager Kennards Hire believes the partnership is a solid one which helps contributes to an inclusive community built from a love of rugby.

As part of the partnership extension, NHRU will continue to name a Kennards Hire Game of the Round every single week of our Premier 1 competition.
The Kennards Hire Real Resilience Award will once again be up for grabs across all NHRU Junior Rugby competitions. Entries for this Award will be provided to selected Junior Rugby players by their team coaches at the end of every match.
